Founded by surfing legend Hans Hedemann, Turtle Bay Resort’s Hans Hedemann's Surf School is an ideal place to hone your skills. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, we offer the classes and equipment suitable to your ability. Visit our with our knowledgeable staff of North Shore instructors.
- Surfing Lessons
Group lessons are offered for adults and teens from $75; private and semi-private lessons are also available. For safety reasons, children under 13 require private lessons, starting at $95 for 1 hour; $150 for 2 hours.

Experience the majestic natural beauty of Oahu’s North Shore while horseback riding at Turtle Bay Resort. A picturesque ride is the best way to enjoy the area’s spectacular beaches, tropical forests and sandy coastline.

The Stables at Turtle Bay offer private rides at 7:30 am. (a 3:00pm is offered during winter months)
24-hour notice is required. Maximum Four Riders per private group. Proper attire is required. Enjoy a 60 minute walk, trot, and canter, based on your skill level, through Kawela Bay trails.
- Pony walks*
The Stables at Turtle Bay offer a 20-minute pony walk for children under age 7 or small children who are unable to ride by themselves. Our staff will lead the horse and parents can walk along to take pictures. Daily 2:30 pm. $25 per child. Limit two rides per day.
*225-pound weight limit. Riders’ weight must be provided upon check-in at the Stables. Please arrive 15-minutes prior to ride.
Stroll along 12 miles of Oahu oceanfront trails and seaside pathways. Listen to the sounds of birds and breezes through Ironwood trees and the roar of crashing surf and swaying palms. Exploring the beautiful paths at Turtle Bay Resort lets everyone experience Hawaii’s beauty and some well-deserved moments of peace and tranquility.

Join Shaka Kayaks on a two-hour guided Eco-Kayak tour of the North Shore. Departing from the Turtle Bay Resort lobby, your luxury transportation will take you on a five-minute ride to the kayak launch area for instruction. Your expert guide will assist you on your kayak and guide you through the calm, protected Kawela Bay, home to over two dozen green sea turtles. You can view turtles and marine life through the unique clear-bottom window on your kayak. After a 45-minute paddle you will have a chance to rest on the secluded Kawela Bay beach where light snacks and refreshments will be served followed by a 15-minute paddle outside the turtle feeding grounds.

Under the management of Peter Burwash International, the Tennis Center at Turtle Bay Resort offers something for all levels of play. Add more power to you groundstroke or increase the precision of your backhand with our Tennis Program.
The Tennis Shop is open daily from 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm. Introduce yourself at the Tennis Shop and we will find you a match at a convenient time with other guests or club members of the same skill level.

No child will be released to anyone other than his/her parents or designated adult during the program. Parents must pick up child no later than 10 minutes after the program. Parents will be charged $1.00 a minute after the grace period. This is Children’s Only Club. No parents allowed to join.

Each 90 minute tour is guided by one of our CPR and first aid certified tour operators. The tour begins with a training course specially designed to familiarize yourself with the proper operating and handling techniques for our unique all-terrain Segways. 30 minute demo rides ($45) Come experience what all the hype is about! Receive hands-on personalized training as well as some time to roam! After your demo, you have the option to book a trail ride adventure tour during your stay at Turtle Bay Resort. If you do, your demo fee will be credited towards your trail ride, just pay the difference!
90 minute trail ride adventure tour ($99) Looking for a truly unforgettable experience? Blaze trails with friends, family and loved ones. Our guide will accompany you along the popular blue trail at Turtle Bay Resort along pristine beaches and through canopied forests, stopping at scenic points and historical landmarks along the way. Cameras are encouraged!
