"Hanalei" in the Hawaiian language means "lei making". In Hawaii, leis are used as a symbol of affection. They are often given to someone upon arriving or leaving, or presented during a special time of celebration such as a birthday or special dinner. Join us in the Turtle Bay Resort lobby for Hanalei at Turtle Bay and learn how to make your very own fresh flower lei by hand to enjoy. Host Alana Madrid will be providing you all the materials and fresh flowers along with step by step instructions. Choose between making a traditional lei that is worn around the neck, or a haku lei (flower crown) which is worn around your head.
