6th Annual Turtle Bay Amateur
October 11-12, 2008
North Shore, Oahu – The 6th Annual Turtle Bay Amateur will again be played on the Turtle Bay’s George Fazio and Arnold Palmer Courses October 11th and 12th. The event will offer four flights of competition making the tournament accessible to all with a current GHIN Handicap.
Entry for the event is $200 and includes golf on both courses, lunch both days, and great tee gifts including a pair of limited edition Oakley UH golf shoes. Practice rounds are available the week prior to the Turtle Bay Amateur. Entry deadline is October 3rd. Click here to download form.
Tee times will begin at 7:30AM on each course both days. Players will play either the Palmer Course or Fazio course the first day based on their flight and switch courses the following day. Last year’s overall Champion was Punahou’s Bradley Shigezawa who posted rounds of 71 (Palmer) and 68 (Fazio) to win by 2 strokes over runner-up Lorens Chan. Past overall champions include:

Turtle Bay Resort is Oahu’s only 36-hole golf resort and hosts many events throughout the year including the Golf Channel’s Big Break V, US Open Local and Sectional Qualifying, Turtle Bay Aloha Section PGA Match Play, and numerous junior events. It has been home to the Champions Tour Turtle Bay Championship and currently the LPGA’s SBS Open at Turtle Bay.
