Updated 03/25/2020 - subject to change:
Turtle Bay Resort takes pride in honoring its core value of mālama (to care for) by being personally committed to protecting the well-being of guests, employees, and North Shore community.
While we have had no reported positive COVID-19 cases with our guests or team members at Turtle Bay, with the recent focus from federal and state government officials on restricting large gatherings, we believe it is in the best interest of everyone to temporarily suspend operations of the resort. The wellbeing of our visitors and our team members is of paramount importance and we believe it is essential for us to do our part to slow the spread of the virus.
On Thursday, March 26, 2020 our hotel will temporarily suspend operations, at least until April 30, 2020. The Governor and Mayor have required all of us to comply with a 14-day quarantine, that hopefully will end when the CDC gives Hawaii the “all clear”. We will be monitoring and evaluating every 30-days on whether we will be able to resume operations.
Due to the complete suspension of operations, guests with an arrival date scheduled on or after the start of the quarantine – Thursday, March 26, 2020 – should postpone their trip until the mandate is lifted.
As of March 24, 2020, we have made the following adjustments to our cancellation policies:
- For stays through 5/31/2020 – Guests who have pre-paid for their stay and have booked directly through the resort will receive a full refund for their reservation. Refunds may take up to 10 days to process, so we ask for your patience and understanding.
- For stays from 6/1/2020 on – The normal cancellation policy stands. No penalty if the reservation is canceled prior to (14) days of your arrival. For reservations canceled within (14) days, the penalty will be the full stay. Special holiday and year-end policies remain as originally stated. Please refer to your confirmation for details.
- For new bookings made by 4/30/2020 for future stays from 6/1/2020 on, no cancellation penalty, if the notification is received at least (24) hours prior to your arrival date. Special holiday and year end policies differ and are subject to change.
- For new bookings made from 5/1/2020 on, for futures stays from 6/1/2020 on, the resort’s normal (14) day cancellation policy remains in effect. Special holiday and year end policies differ and are subject to change.
Our reservations team remains available to assist with reservations for stays from June 1, 2020, onward. We apologize for any inconvenience and mahalo for your understanding during this time. For questions related to an upcoming reservation, please call the Resort directly at 808-293-6000 or 866-827-5327 or by email.
