Let's Talk story
Turtle Bay's blog
The world’s best surfers are coming to Turtle Bay for the annual Surfer Poll Awards on December 6. For the past few years, the resort has played host to Surfer Magazine’s annual poll awards, where surf fans from all over the world vote for their favorite surfer. In the past, Kelly Slater has taken top honors more than any other surfer. This year, with world-title showdown in the works and the rise of Brazil’s Gabriel Medina, we could be poised to see changing of the guard. But then again, if there’s one thing that we know about Kelly Slater, it that’ he can never be counted of anything.
On the women’s side, Kauai’s own Alana Blanchard will be defending her Surfer Poll title as well. While seating is relegated to an invite-only list, you can always crack open a cold drink with some friends and catch all of the live action at SurferPoll.com.
Mahalo to everyone who came out for our third annual Turkey Trot! The 5K wasn't easy! You truly did earn your Thanksgiving feast, running more than a mile on the beach and adventuring our trails. Please share your Turkey Trot and Thanksgiving photos with #TBRThanksgiving. We will also be sharing photos our professional photographer Dell Webb shot with trotters on legendary Kahuku Point.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! #TBRThanksgiving

While we could write an entire book (or at least try to fill up a web page) on things you should do on your next North Shore vacation, we’re going to focus on three activities for this particular post. Granted it’s hard to have a bad day when you’re in paradise, but these three activities are sure to leave you smiling and imprint an indelible memory from your stay on the North Shore.
We are still singing about that one time we stole money from our dad, what it’s like to be a Maori boy and ummm sausages? That’s how comically random the JGeeks are and they had hundreds of fans singing, dancing and laughing July 5th.
Here’s a video of some memorable moments from the epic show. We bet you’ll also find some great videos and photos from the concert on Instagram with the tag #JGeeks
