Meet the Experienced and Professional Turtle Bay Group Sales Team

 Cindy Gagle - Director of Sales & Marketing

Cindy was previously regional director of sales and marketing (Hawaii) for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, responsible for the Kea Lani Resort Hotel on Maui and the Orchid Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii. Ms. Gagle has served in sales leadership positions for hotels and resorts in Bermuda, California, Arizona and Hawaii. Earlier in her career she owned and operated a successful restaurant and lounge in Tempe, Arizona.

Frank Lonardo - Director of Sales

Frank Lonardo most recently served as hotel sales task force manager for multiple luxury properties in markets on the east and west coasts of the US Mainland, including Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club in Redondo Beach, California; The Woodmark Resort, Spa and Yacht Club in Kirkland, Washington; The Madison Hotel in Washington, DC; and Stowe Mountain Resort and Spa in Vermont.

Mr. Lonardo was previously director of sales and marketing for Le Parc Suites Hotel in West Hollywood, California. He has also worked for other major brand hotels in the Los Angeles market. Lonardo worked for a time in special event sales for Paramount Pictures.

Frank Lonardo attended Ohio State University. He is the recipient of numerous national honors, including Marriott President’s Circle and the Chairman’s Circle.

Sue Laing - Senior National Sales Manager

Sue has more than 25 years in the hospitality industry and oversees sales activities for Turtle Bay Resort in the Western Region, Midwest Region and the Insurance market across the mainland. She is based in Southern California. Prior to joining Turtle Bay Resort in 2003 Sue was Director of Group Sales for Palmilla Resort, US Director Group Sales Grand Bay Hotel, Western Regional Director Ihilani Resort and Western Regional Director representing five Hyatt Resorts in >Hawaii. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International, Society of Incentive Travel Executives, Financial & Insurance Conference Planners, and Professional Convention Management Association

Dida Hernandez – Director of Conference Services

Over the past fourteen years, Dida Hernandez has steadily progressed to positions of increased responsibility at Turtle Bay Resort, most recently serving in the senior leadership role of director, conference services. She has previously held positions at the resort as senior conference manager, conference manager and catering sales manager. Ms. Hernandez originally joined Turtle Bay Resort as catering coordinator.

Prior to her tenure with the resort, Ms. Hernandez worked for GO International Travel and for The Travel Lodge of Auckland, New Zealand.

Dida Hernandez obtained her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation and is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). A native of Auckland, New Zealand, who spent much of her formative years in Denmark, Ms. Hernandez is fluent in both Danish and English.
