Hele Huli (Go Explore) with Turtle Bay’s Three New Outdoor Adventures


NORTH SHORE, OAHU, HI (July 11, 2012) – The heart of the matter when traveling is the experience! Turtle Bay now offers three more one-of-a-kind outdoor adventures designed to more fully experience the place that National Geographic just described as being “one of the wonders of the world – one of the planet’s most awesome places.” So, hele huli, Hawaiian, for go explore!

The newly launched Hawaiian Cultural Excursion is a 60-minute beach walk that explores Turtle Bay's majestic shoreline and its many hidden coastal wonders. Learn about the rich history of the Hawaiian Islands and O'ahu's fabled North Shore from a local historian. Observe unique plants and animals which call this area their home; some of which are endangered and found no place else on earth. Listen to ancient stories and chants that were handed down from generation to generation. This is an eco-friendly adventure with no scripts and fun for all ages.

Guided Hawaiian Cultural Excursion is available daily at 5:30 pm for $35 per person.

Take your kids on a guided fresh water fishing excursion, where they are guaranteed to catch a fish or your money back! Parents don't feel like fishing? Drop your kids off with us for the fishing excursion while you enjoy some quality time together. You are also welcome to fish or join us to take photos of your kids having the time of their lives! If you don't want a guide, we can drop you off at our special fishing site and pick you up. Lunch can also be provided for an additional fee. Reservations required.

Guided Fish Excursion: $50 per person per hour; $10 rider fee for non-fishing participants; Includes all fishing supplies and bait; Beverages and snacks available for purchase in Adventure Center.

Non-guided Fish Excursion: $30 per person per hour + $10 shuttle service for up to 6 people.

Kahuku Farms welcomes visitors for a fun and educational guided wagon ride of its family farm. Learn their history and discover all the fruits and veggies “the country” has to offer. On the tour, your group will learn about apple banana, papaya, taro leaf, long eggplant and cacao (when in season) plus much more.

Tours are available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 am for groups of 4-18 people.

Tour & Lunch Package: 30 minute tractor ride and tour with lunch of mango iced tea, 1/2 Panini, side salad, papaya, apple banana, lilikoi sorbet for $35.50/each.

Keiki Tour & Lunch Package: 30 minute tractor ride and tour with lunch of lemonade, 1/2 farm pizza, side salad, papaya, apple banana, lilikoi sorbet for $26.50/each.

Farm Goodie Bag: Kahuku Farms eco bag, 2 papayas, 1 bag of apple bananas for $10 (One goodie bag per family or voucher).

The Hele Huli Adventure Center is Turtle Bay’s activities headquarters.
