NORTH SHORE, OAHU, HI (April 25, 2013) – Turtle Bay Resort is expanding its recently announced North Shore Guides Club with the addition of a seasoned team of golf pros.

The Guides Club is a new way for guests to experience and learn about Oahu’s fabled North Shore through the insider knowledge of an experienced team of select resort employees and friends. The club’s newest addition includes opportunities for guests to get the most out of their golf game with a team of seven pros, renowned on the North Shore and beyond for their professional experience.

The North Shore Guides Club golf team includes:

·        Matt Hall, Turtle Bay Resort director of golf: From hosting prestigious golf tours to ensuring that the resort’s Palmer Course is always in top condition, Hall’s Oahu golf knowledge is unsurpassed. His career highlights include serving as president of the Aloha Section PGA, qualifying for the PGA Tour’s 2001 Sony Open in Hawaii, co-hosting Hawaii’s No. 1 golf talk show, and being named the 2009 Aloha Section Golf Professional of the Year.

·        Dean Wilson, celebrity golf guide: Wilson was born in Kaneohe on Oahu. He turned professional in 1992 after a successful college career at Brigham Young University, and has since won six times on the Japan Golf Tour and once on the PGA Tour. He has played in all four major championships, including a T30 finish in both the 2007 Masters and 2011 U.S. Open.

·        Tony Finau, celebrity golf guide: Best known for his appearance on The Golf Channel’s “Big Break,” Finau first turned professional at the age of 17, making his first cut on the PGA Tour the same year. Named as one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 10 American Players Under 25,” Finau has made Turtle Bay Resort his go-to golf retreat for years.

·        Parker McLachlin, celebrity golf guide: Born of an impressive sports lineage (his mother played Olympic volleyball), McLachlin is a three-time Hawaii state champion in both golf and volleyball. As a member of the PGA Tour, he won the Reno-Tahoe Open, among numerous top-10 finishes.  A native of Oahu, he is known throughout the Tour for his laid-back personality.

·        Dave Eichelberger, celebrity golf guide: A four-time winner on the PGA Tour and a six-time winner on the Champions Tour (including the 1999 Senior U.S. Open), Eichelberger continues his incredible golf game in semi-retirement.  A long-time Oahu resident, he is full of insider stories about life on tour and the legends of the game.

·        T.J. Kua, celebrity golf guide: A native of Kauai and recent graduate of the University of Hawaii, Kua is one of the top up-and-coming professional golfers in Hawaii. He has won numerous tournaments as an amateur and has competed in the PGA Tour’s Sony Open.
