Turtle Bay Resort debuts 26 Stay Well™ Premier rooms

First Hawaiʻi resort to partner with Delos, the leader in wellness real estate

KAHUKU, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, February 26, 2020

Turtle Bay Resort announced today the unveiling of 26 Stay Well™ Premier rooms that help enhance guests’ physical and emotional well-being.

The Stay Well program offers evidence-based health and wellness features in hotels to help travelers maintain their health and well-being while traveling. Delos launched the Stay Well program in 2012 and its portfolio now includes guest rooms in hotels and resorts across the U.S., Mexico, Dominican Republic, Germany, France and Spain. Turtle Bay Resort is the first resort in Hawai‘i to deploy the Stay Well program.

Stay Well Premier guests at Turtle Bay Resort will enjoy rooms that are outfitted with wellness amenities that enhance the quality of air, light and water, and promote better sleep, comfort, mental acuity, nutrition and overall health. Room highlights include:

  • Stay Well natural memory foam mattress derived from hevea milk, plant extracts and essential oils.
  • Air purification using six stages of filtration including a HEPA, odor and carbon filter to reduce allergens, toxins and microbes from the air.
  • Aromatherapy to create a relaxing, mood-enhancing environment and help decrease airborne viruses and bacteria.
  • Dawn simulation to provide a more natural and gentle way to wake up with gradually increasing levels of light and sound.
  • Energizing light that suppresses melatonin to help regulate circadian rhythms and reduce jet lag.
  • Water purification filtration system to provide higher quality water.
  • Stay Well shower infuser that reduces chlorine to help skin, hair and nail health.
  • Room protocol that uses hypoallergenic products and a state-of-the-art UV wand cleaning tool to help neutralize bacteria, viruses and other microbes.

“Turtle Bay Resort is excited to be the first hotel in Hawai‘i to embrace the importance of being a wellness destination by partnering with wellness real estate and technology firm Delos,” said Jerry Gibson, vice president of Turtle Bay Resort. “As Hawai‘i’s most experiential resort with ocean, land and aerial adventures throughout our nearly 1,300 acres, we are making wellness a priority by encouraging outdoor health benefits and providing a tranquil, private sanctuary that positively impacts overall well-being.”

Turtle Bay Resort has incorporated the Stay Well program with spa-related perks. Guests check in at Nalu Kinetic Spa with a wellness professional who takes them through the features and services of the room. A private elevator connects the Spa directly to the Stay Well Premier guest wing, which features a living green wall and aromatherapy. In-room fitness equipment includes a yoga mat, stability ball and Rad Roller All In Kit. Guests receive Nalu Kinetic Spa membership privileges that include unlimited fitness classes and spa discounts. An in-room dining menu crafted by Turtle Bay Resort Executive Chef Chris Hrybiniak and approved by the Cleveland Clinic, incorporates the season’s locally sourced, fresh island flavors. Guests have access to wellness tips, trends and articles by the Cleveland Clinic, guided meditations led by Deepak Chopra and local visitor information targeted to healthy travel experiences. Guests also receive lifetime access to award-winning Cleveland Clinic Wellness programs that cover sleep, stress and nutrition.

“We are thrilled to partner with the world class integrated Turtle Bay Resort as we incorporate our Stay Well Premier wellness features into the guest experience,” said Peter Scialla, president and chief operating officer of Delos. “Turtle Bay Resort has included programming and enhancements that provide a true wellness journey for guests of the property.”
