Three Stops for Shrimp on Oahu's North Shore

The North Shore is known for its beautiful beaches, epic surf and friendly residents. But did you know it’s also known for its world famous shrimp trucks?

Here’s three we recommend you take a shrimp stop at next time you visit us at Turtle Bay. All of them are only about a five minute drive from your hotel room. You could also rent bikes or mopeds from the Hele Huli Adventure Center near our tennis courts if you do not have a vehicle.

#THIRSTYTHURSDAY: PINEAPPLE MOJITO

In honor of St. Patrick's Day we are sharing our guest favorite Pineapple Mojito from The Point: Sunset & Pool Bar. If you can’t wait until your next Turtle Bay getaway, you can now make it at home!

INGREDIENTS

1 ¼ oz Cruzan Pineapple Rum

1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

2 oz Pineapple Juice

½ oz Agave Nectar

½ oz Fresh Crushed Pineapple

Hanful of Fresh Mint Leaves (save a few for your garnish)

Splash of Soda Water

Ice

LET THE FUN BEGIN

Pour all the ingredients (minus the soda water) into a shaker cup and shake vigorously. Pour over ice, top with a splash of soda water, and garnish with a slice of pineapple and mint leaves.

Now hold it proudly so you don’t get pinched!

Blood Orange & Elderflower Sparkler

INGREDIENTS
- 4 oz. of Le Grand Courtage Brut Rose 
- 1 ½ oz. Gin
- ¼ oz. of Elderflower Liqueur
- 1 ½ oz. Blood Orange Juice – freshly squeezed
-1 bar spoon of simple syrup
- Few dashes Angostura bitters
- Blood Orange Slice for garnish
