Five Reasons to Fall for Turtle Bay, Reason 2: The Festivals

Posted on Thu, 2015/08/13 - 11:32am by Jeff Mull

This fall, the North Shore will be abuzz with an array of events. Kicking off the lineup, we’ll be showcasing our famous Red Bull edition Talk Story
night on September 2nd at Surfer, the Bar. For this very special evening, we’ll be chatting with the renowned base-jumping visionary Jon Devore, who helped pioneer the latest innovations in unwinged human flight. Devore is changing the game, and by the end of the night, you’ll believe a man could fly.

On October 16, the Stand Up World Series heads to Turtle Bay. Held right here at The Point, the world’s best stand up paddlers will congregate on the North Shore to test their mettle for this two-day event. Best of all, you can take in all of the action from our Bayview Beach, which can accommodate approximately 50 people.

For all the music lovers out there, we’re thrilled to announce the second annual Oahu Jazz and Blues Festival. The horns start blowing on November 19th and we’ll be rocking all the way to the 22nd. With acts hailing from as far away as New Orleans—including the blues/rock sensation The Iguanas and famed jazz trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis—this year’s festival will be one for the books. We’ll also be featuring a mix of local musicians, including Paula Fuga and Kawika Kahiapo as well. Live music under the stars with the faint sound of the ocean in the background? Festivals don’t get any better than this.
