Did you know Turtle Bay Resort is the ONLY resort on Oahu that has two championship golf courses!? Two legends of golf - Arnold Palmer and George Fazio - boldly chose to leave their indelible mark on this untouched portion of the North Shore. Yeah, we may seem a little biased, but we know Turtle Bay is THE place for golfers to get their game on in Hawaii.

Five Reasons Turtle Bay Golf is the Best on Oahu

1. Double the fun!
As we stated above, there are two championship courses, the Palmer and the Fazio, for guests to play at Turtle Bay Resort.

Palmer Course
If you are looking for a challenge, this is your course.
Consistently regarded as the best course on Oahu (and among the very best on all the islands), the Palmer Course at Turtle Bay is an absolute must-play during your visit to the area.
Opening in 1992, the Arnold Palmer Course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, was rated one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 10 New Courses” in America and ranked 4th among Golf Digest’s “Best New Resort Courses in America” the year it opened.
The Palmer-Seay layout features two very distinct experiences.

Fazio

Fazio Course
The Fazio Course is an experience well worth having, and for those enjoying multiple days at the resort, a great complement to the Palmer experience. The Fazio design is generally more forgiving than the Palmer Course.
The walker-friendly layout meanders among traditional Hawaiian Palms while skirting the North Shore on numerous occasions. The Fazio Course is the original course at Turtle Bay Resort and it is a great test of golf.
In its day it hosted the best players of a generation, including Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Sam Snead, and Chi Chi Rodriguez in the first Champions Tour Skins Game. The Fazio Course has also hosted the LPGA Tour's Hawaiian Open.

2. Ocean Views
Both golf courses offer breathtaking views of the ocean. The signature hole of the Palmer - 17 - “Kala” which means, “To Forgive” is a 375 – yard par 4. This signature hole offers panoramic Pacific views from the green while the hole is dotted with nine bunkers, making this hole as challenging as it is scenic. The Fazio has more ocean views than the Palmer.

3. Award Winners
The courses of Turtle Bay Resort have won several awards and distinctions.
Turtle Bay Golf's Palmer has gained bragging rights as one of the best courses to play in Hawaii (Golf Week), a Top 5 Course to Play in Hawaii (Golf Channel) and a spot on Golf Digests’ Top 100 List , just to name a few.

5. Lei Lei’s Bar & Grill
Mouthwatering dishes and a laid back atmosphere make Lei Lei's a famous local haunt on O'ahu's North Shore. After your game of golf you can talk story with entertaining manager and host Ian. The excellent dishes and service is what brings regulars from the surf and movie industry here. Lei Lei's offers views of Turtle Bay's signature Fazio golf course and Oahu's North Shore.
