Romantic Beach Walk

When you arrive at Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s magical North Shore, it’s not hard to see why so many people fall in love here. There are ocean views just about everywhere, swaying palm trees and aloha fills the air. It’s also no surprise so many couples come here to getaway from the stress of life and enjoy a romantic escape together.

Here’s 7 Romantic Things to do in Oahu Hawaii's Turtle Bay Resort

Turtle Bay Beach Cottage

1. Stay in a Beach Cottage
The Beach Cottages starred in the 1998 hit, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” They offer a private oasis, right on the Pacific Ocean. The accommodations are spacious and romantic, with high vaulted ceilings, deep soaking tubs and cozy lanais.

Cottage guests are treated to daily delights and can also cuddle and sway along with the sea in one of several hammocks on the cottage lawn.

Couple's Massage

2. Get Pampered Together with a Couple's Cabana Massage
What can be more romantic than a couple's massage next to the ocean? Experience a romantic seaside massage in our Seaside Cabana. This is perfect for couples who wish to share a private and relaxing spa service.

Relax while listening to the waves and breathing in the ocean air.

3. Get Sun-kissed Lounging by the Pool
Book a private pool cabana and spend the day soaking in the sun and each other’s attention. Get flirty with our famous Mai Tais and take a dip in the salt water pool when you need to cool off. Rather have it hot and steamy? Relax in one of our hot tubs.

To reserve your private poolside cabana, stop by the Guidepost in our lobby or call (808) 293-6020.

Turtle Bay Sunset

4. Watch the sunset or sunrise on the beach

One of the many great things about Turtle Bay Resort is the fact that you can watch both the sunrise and sunset from our hotel. Depending on which wing of the hotel you are staying in, you’ll be able to catch one or both. There’s nothing more romantic than greeting the day together with two cups of cocoa or coffee and an extravagant display of nature’s colors in the sky. Not a morning person? Say goodbye to the sun, cuddling on one of our secluded shores. Don’t forget a bottle of your favorite wine or bubbly.

Paakai oysters

5. Indulge in oysters on the half shell at Pa’akai
They say oysters are an aphrodisiac and our fine-dining restaurant Pa’akai serves up quite the oyster dish. Pair the oysters with wine and ocean views.

*Oysters are very rich in Zinc, a mineral which is indispensable for the production and synthesis of the male hormone testosterone. Also the high content of iodine in oysters increases the production of thyroid hormones, which in turn give a boost to your sexual desire. But it’s not just an aphrodisiac for men, for women the oyster will increase the hormone level, improve libido, block osteoporosis, and control the menstrual cycles.

6. Have Dinner on the Beach
There’s something about the beach that automatically makes the occasion more romantic. Bring your special someone to Roy’s Beach House, which is located right on the shore of Kuilima Cove. Make sure you try their chocolate souffle for dessert. After dinner, lose the sandals and take a stroll on the beach together. Watch for shooting stars and if you’re up for it, maybe even take a dip in the ocean. You’ll likely have the whole beach to yourselves ;).

Sunset Ride by Andi Wilson

7. Ride Off Into the Sunset Together
Nothing gets you more giddy than a horseback ride! Throw in trails along the Pacific Ocean paired with a spectacular Hawaiian sunset and you have the perfect memory maker. Rent a GoPro for free from the North Shore WaterShed and be sure to capture the romantic ride on camera. Spice things up even more by requesting a private ride, so it’s just the two of you and one of our experienced guides.
