Walk with Pono
GO ON A PAWSOME HIKE WITH PONO
Turtle Bay Resort’s Canine Ambassador Pono wants to take you on one of his pawsome adventures! Pono will be going on hiking excursions with guests every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. Resort guests of all ages are invited to have a pawsitively good time with Pono. The hike is a mile and a half round trip and isn’t “ruff” at all. It is suitable for all ages and the path is stroller friendly. You’ll enjoy breathtaking ocean views, local wildlife and native plants. Local wildlife includes Hawaiian Monk Seals, Sea Turtles and Humpback whales (during whale season: January - March).
The trek will start at the Guidepost in Turtle Bay Resort’s lobby. Guests will then join Pono on a leisurely and beautiful stroll to Keiki Beach. You may want to wear your swimsuit! If Pono feels like it, which is likely, he may jump in the ocean for a swim! After some time at Keiki Beach, hikers will return back to the GuidePost. The hike will take about 60- 90 minutes total.
The activity is complimentary for resort guests, but guests are welcomed to make a donation to Hawaii Fi-Do Service Dogs. Hawaii Fi-Do is a non-profit organization on Oahu which trains and provides service dogs to people with disabilities, and assists with the training of Pono. Donations can be made at The Guidepost.
Reserve your spot at the Guidepost today. This complimentary activity for resort guests of all ages is on a first come first served basis, and reservations are required.
