The new Nalu Kinetic Spa provides a multi-sensory experience of the ocean: dramatic window walls with views of legendary swells, the sound of surf crashing on the beach, and an innovative Wave Therapy massage table that gently rocks you as if you were floating. Warm salt stones calm you down after an adrenalin surge, and a line of marine-infused products show tenderness to skin and hair that has been exposed to sun, salt, and sand. Fitness and bodywork programs hone strength, balance, and concentration.
The Nalu Kinetic Spa sitting area offers a garden and ocean view. Guests can also enjoy a hammock if they choose.
The North Shore WaterShed is the place to check out the latest surf merchandise, get Turtle Bay and Surfer, The Bar merchandise and also enjoy live music!
Turtle Bay Resort is also continuing its focus on conserving Oahu’s natural resources, implementing a 59,000-square-foot landscaped native plant garden on all lower main building rooftops; an effort that will enhance views, double the lifespan of the roofing materials to two decades, and lower energy use. High-efficiency LED lighting will also be installed throughout the resort to provide additional energy savings.
The announcement of Oakley Turtle Bay comes after a hugely successful winter on the North Shore for Oakley’s surf team, led by 2012 Vans Triple Crown champion Sebastian Zietz. Oakley’s riders took out four of the five major awards up for grabs at the Vans Triple Crown
These planned renovations follow the recent addition of Surfer, The Bar in November 2011; and enhancements to the resort’s lobby and lobby lounge, all of which are in line with the resort’s rebranding campaign, launched in 2011. In 2003, the resort completed millions in upgrades to its 42 luxury beach cottages; the addition of the Kuilima Ballroom and high-tech meeting facilities; and room upgrades.
We will do our very best to keep everyone updated on our progress through pictures and status reports. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.
THE 6th FLOOR EPIC ALI'I ROOMS >>
Additional improvements in the resort’s 112 premium guest rooms, which are located on the sixth floor as well as each floor’s end suites, will include ocean-themed elements, such as shell décor; expanded walk-in natural stone showers; and a deep-soaker bathtub that is open to the room.

The first wing of renovated rooms will be available June 2nd, with the full renovation completed by late October 2013. This renovation project will encompass all of the 840-acre resort’s standard and premium guest rooms; and has already resulted in the opening of the new Nalu Kinetic Spa; the North Shore Kula Grille; as well as two new shopping experiences and another new restaurant, Pa'aki, scheduled to open late May.
We welcome you to be the first to experience the BRAND NEW RENOVATED ROOMS and the New Era at Turtle Bay - starting June 2nd.
We are pleased to annouce the North Shore Kula Grille, previously the Palm Terrace, opened in April. We are excited to welcome you to a place where farm-to-table thinking is behind every ingredient on our menu. Where fresh means seasonal produce picked just a few minutes away; where seafood is sourced daily from local waters; and where premium meats and poultry are raised with the utmost care on small-scale Hawaii farms and ranches.
Our New Integrated Spa and Fitness Center >>
Our new full-service spa and fitness center - Nalu Kinetic Spa opened on April 29th! Our spa nearly doubled in size to 11,000 square feet. The fitness center has been relocated from the ground floor to the lobby-level Sunset Room, which allows for expansive ocean views from all-new fitness equipment. The spa has also been expanded along with the reception area and the women's locker room. Three open-air treatment rooms are added, and two single treatment rooms have been converted into one larger indoor couples treatment area.
The North Shore WaterShed >>
Turtle Bay has launched a new retail experience called the North Shore Water Shed: A boutique featuring the brands and lifestyle products for both locals and guests who revere a casual active waterman(woman) lifestyle…plus it's the spot where you can find the organic cotton/bamboo blend premium collections of merchandise for Turtle Bay and Surfer, The Bar.
The Oakley Store at Turtle Bay >>
The Oakley Store at Turtle Bay offers the most extensive range of technical eyewear outside of Honolulu, with styles for both men and women. The store also offers a broad range of Oakley logo surfwear and lifestyle apparel, including an exclusive resort line of t-shirts created for Turtle Bay.
Oakley has a long history on the property, existing for many years as a featured brand at Turtle Bay Golf. This exclusive concept store represents an expansion beyond what golf currently offers. The store is located adjacent to the new North Shore Kula Grille, at the lobby level.
21 Degrees North will be completely renovated in the spirit of their new menus, with natural décor and lighting, wood accents and the cool blues and greens of the nearby ocean and farmland. The menu will highlight Hawaii’s abundant array of fresh seafood, with a customizable menu including a mix-and-match approach of sauces, side dishes and cooking styles. New décor will feature an ocean theme. The 21 Degrees North renovation project began March 18th and will reopen as Pa'akai (salt) in late May 2013.
ABOUT THE RENOVATION
The redesign is led by award-winning Honolulu-based firm WCIT Architecture and will include all-new fixtures, furnishings, bedding and décor in the guest rooms, as well as completely remodeled bathrooms with new tile, vanities, and walk-in showers. WCIT previously worked with the resort on its design of Surfer, The Bar, as well as the master plan for the property.
One extremely important aspect of these projects is that they will be completed in phases to minimize impact on guests, with little disruption expected in public or exterior areas of the resort. Guest rooms will be renovated one wing at a time, and the affected restaurants will be upgraded at separate times to ensure that a selection of dining options are available. The guest experience is extremely important and we will do our very best to deliver all services without any obstacles affecting it.
According to our Vice President & General Manager, Danna Holck, “The focus of these improvements is in ensuring that each guest room is given the highest level of attention and detail to fully enhance the guest experience. These renovations also allow the resort to capitalize on underutilized space, which includes the large-scale expansion of our spa and fitness center.”
“The guest rooms will be redesigned to have a contemporary, beach-house feel, authentic to the North Shore," said interior designer Lisa-Maria Priester of WCIT Architecture. "Typically, a Hawaiian home is light and airy, done in a neutral palette because with scenery like we have here, especially on the North Shore, the accents are the views. As with our design of the recent lobby renovation, the new guest rooms will inspire a casual, hip sophistication with subtle accents of island and Hawaiian motifs custom designed exclusively for Turtle Bay Resort."
