Mark your calendar. The 6th Annual North Shore Ocean Fest is Saturday, June 3 here at Turtle Bay Resort.
The free, family friendly event starts at 10 a.m. and is complete at 4 p.m.
Here's five things to expect at the North Shore Ocean Fest:
1. Fun Activity Booth
Visit, talk story with and learn from the people and organizations that work every day to protect the ocean and the amazing creatures that call it home.
2. Delicious Food Vendors
Drinks, plate lunches and desserts galore. Support local businesses and savor scrumptious dishes with every bite.
3. Exciting Live Entertainment
Plays, hula, music and even a rescue demonstration by the coast guard have been part of the program at past Ocean Fests.
5. Hands on Learning Opportunities
Learn about sustainable fishing, make voyaging canoes, paint on a mural and more!
4. Beach fun
Bring your swimsuits! Turtle Bay's pristine Kuilima Cove is located steps away from Ocean Fest. Bring your snorkeling equipment or rent some to experience sea life up close and personal.
Want to surf? If you don't have a board you can rent one from the Hans Hedemann Surf School right in our lobby. Surf lessons are also available.
The North Shore Ocean Fest is presented by Turtle Bay and the North Shore Ocean Education Coalition.
It takes place Saturday June 3, 10a-2p.
The free event is perfect for families and benefits Ocean education at schools along Oahu's North Shore.
