PONO - TURTLE BAY RESORT’S CHIEF CANINE AMBASSADOR
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Birthday: March 5, 2018
Favorite Food: Any Dog Treat
Hobbies: Playing Fetch and Swimming at the beach
Special Trick: He loves to play soccer and is a great defender, also does a great Hi-Five!
Favorite thing to do at Turtle Bay Resort: Visit with all his new and old friends in the lobby.
Where you can find him: Pono is usually at the Guide Post in the lobby, sometimes at the Stables.

Pono loves all his friends at the resort. He also enjoys sneaking a dip in the ocean any chance he can get and really wishes dogs were allowed in the swimming pools.
That’s right, even the Chief Canine Ambassador isn’t allowed in the pool. Sorry Pono!

KAHUNA & HINA - HAWAII SURF DOGS
Names: Kahuna (shepherd/hound mix from Hawaiian Humane Society) and Hina (pitbull lab mix from Craigslist)
Birthday: Kahuna Nov. 2011; Hina Jan. 2013
Favorite Food: Hamburgers & French fries
Hobbies: Surf, SUP, bike pulling with harnesses, swimming, playing with their owner, Rocky Canon's, 2 & 4-year-old daughters.
Special Tricks: Kahuna barks with excitement as waves approach, cuing up spectators to get their cameras ready. Hina can swim for 45 minutes or more without taking a rest!
Favorite thing to do at Turtle Bay Resort: They both love playing in the large open spaces and the coastline of Turtle Bay, including running around with Pono!
Where you can find them: You can find the surfing duo at Turtle Bay Resort hanging ten or playing on the beaches of the North Shore.

Hawaii Surf Dogs has been the only operation of its kind since 2011. It is the only experience in existence where you can actually sign up to surf or SUP with a dog on board, and the pics are priceless!

If you want to bring your dog, you are in luck! Turtle Bay Resort is a dog-friendly hotel! That's pretty puptacular for all you dog lovers.
Here is the resort’s dog policy:
Service Pets Allowed: Yes
Pets Allowed: Yes (Dogs only)
· Turtle Bay Resort is pet friendly and allows dogs in the main building of the hotel and Beach Cottages only.
· Guests travelling with pets must notify Turtle Bay Resort at the time of booking.
· A one-time pet cleaning fee of $300 for dogs 35lbs and less, or $500 for dogs greater than 35lbs will be applied per room and charged with full deposit.
· Pets must be accompanied by their owner at the time of check-in.
