Jon Gersonde Appointed Vice President and Managing Director

KAHUKU, Hawaiʻi (August 28, 2023) – As part of an ongoing major renovation and repositioning of the property, Oʻahu’s treasured Turtle Bay Resort has appointed hospitality veteran Jon Gersonde as Vice President and Managing Director of the 1,300-acre oceanfront resort. In his new role, Jon will be responsible for leading Turtle Bay Resort’s committed team of executives to further establish exceptional guest experiences along the North Shore.

Exceeding 30 years of hospitality experience under his belt, Jon has successfully spearheaded numerous high-profile openings and repositioning projects for luxury and lifestyle brands around the world, from Australia, to Asia, the Caribbean, and all across Hawai‘i. Jon has held pivotal roles as Vice President of Operations, Managing Director, and General Manager for developments including Starwood Hotels & Resorts (Kapalua Bay Hotel & Villas, Westin Mission Hills, The Royal Hawaiian), Mauna Kea Resort and Golf Club, Turnberry Isle Miami, Viceroy Anguilla, Christophe Harbour, and Oil Nut Bay. Most recently, he was the General Manager of 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, a flagship property for the 1 Hotels brand.
