Healthy North Shore Eats

Posted on Wed, 2015/03/11 - 2:19pm by Jessica Gellert

I’ll admit it -  I am one of those travelers that use vacation as an excuse to take a vacation from my healthy eating habits (90% of the time). If you don’t take a break from being healthy even when you are on vacation (wish I had your self-control) here is a list of some of our favorite healthy eats on the North Shore of Oahu. Trust me, even if you don’t look for healthy restaurants you need to try these places.Their food tastes AMAZING and you will feel amazing after you eat it too!

Beet Box Café, Haleiwa
Beet Box says they serve the healthiest food on the North Shore and they may be right. Their menu includes organic, vegan and vegetarian dishes sourced from local farmers. While you’re there be sure to check out Celestial, the health food store the restaurant is located in. Celestial has wellness products and locally sourced organic produce.

We Recommend:
Sauted garlic, ginger and seasoning mingle with onions, red peppers, broccoli, zucchini, shitake mushrooms, carrots, walnuts and kale in this wholesome plate of health! Served with brown rice and brazilian black beans, avocado and sprouts $10.50 add an egg $1.50

A sprouted whole-wheat tortilla smothered in homemade hummus, garlic tahini sauce and loaded with red peppers, carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, sprouts and local greens $9.50

Marinated Portabella mushrooms and zucchini sauted and served to you on a toasted whole wheat bun smothered in garlic aioli, and topped with feta cheese, red onion, red pepper and sunflower sprouts $11.00
